Things to Know:
- Today was Biagini’s first start. Things you need know about me: I get really nervous when Joe pitches. Not because I’m nervous that he can’t get out of the inning, it’s more that I just go in Mamma Bird mode and I just want him to do well. It’s weird, I know! Well anyways, apparently I didn’t have much to be nervous about. Due to a pitch limit he pitched only 4 innings and gave up only 1 unearned run in 2 hits while striking out 4. He was totally in control of that game and it really makes me hopeful of what Joe Biagini the starter could be. It was also announced that Joe would get another start:
- The bullpen also did a hell of a job. They obviously had a lot of innings to cover but man did they ever step up. Loup, Tepera, Smith, and Osuna covered five innings (Tepera pitched 2) and only gave up 1 hit and 2 walks. There were interesting moments there (and when I say interesting moments, I don’t mean good things) but they all manage to wiggle out of the jams they may have caused. And by allowing no run they allowed the bats to catch up.
- So the bats… They had 4 hits, yup four. But I guess they made the most out of it. A Pillar double was batted in by Martin single to tie the game. Then a Barney solo home run, his first of the year, gave the Jays the lead. And that’s really all the offence there was. I guess also good news Bautista only struck out once, yeah we’ve come to that….
This guys just started for the Toronto Blue Jays.
What a time to be alive.
Barney trying to give Travis a pep talk after an error.
Yes, I’m crying.
Jays need to get Josh back on the field. This time he attempts to place a bubble on Tulo.
It’s probably best it didn’t work. Look at Tulo’s facial expression in that last GIF.
More Jays trying to find a way to pass time.
I love that you could see Marco say “damn.”
